Ha llegado el momento del cambio de año 1972 a 1973. Es buen momento para que aquellas personas que llegaron hasta este video puedan recordar o apreciar algunos éxitos más de Bread, una banda con melosas melodías muy al estilo de inicio de los 70′s. Neil Diamond es otro de los cantantes y compositores con temas muy melosos como el de “Song sung blue” (aún del año 1972). Donny Osmond es otro de los niños con una voz única….y sus temas son igualmente relacionados con la dulzura y ternura del amor. Peros estos cantantes no estaban solos y su género también tenía competencia; cabe señalar a Gary Glitter y su “Rock and roll Rock….Rock and roll….”. y la bella presencia de Suzi Quatro y una nueva forma de llevar a cabo el Rock, es decir, al llamado Glam-Rock. Los Doors sacaron este simpático tema del “Mosquito” cuyo éxito fué regular pero es interesante destacarlo porque al no contar ya con Jim Morrison hacín un gran esfuerzo por estar de alguna manera en los Charts de aquella época y 1973 fué el último año en el que los Doors estuvieron unidos (aunque posteriormente hubieron reencuentros parciales). Pero mientras los Doors se desintegraban…..nuevas bandas surgían como es el caso de Roxy Music (cuyo vocalista era el destacado inglés Bryan Ferry), muchas personas ubican a Bryan Ferry y Roxy Music en la década de los 80′s pero su carrera musical ya tenía más de una década de haber comenzado. Since Jim Gramata moved to 2321 W. McLean in 2003, what he calls the “fourth quadrant of Bucktown” has become, in his view, the premier part of the neighborhood. A major draw for area families is Holstein Park, one of the city’s jewels, and a place where the community gathers for swimming, baseball and meetings, and people from around the city attend major events such as the Bucktown Arts Fest. Until recently, according to Jim, Pulaski Fine Arts Academy, the neighborhood school a few doors from his home, was known for its poor test scores. The school now has a new principal, renovation funds, and a new program. It’s now Pulaski International School and, perhaps, a viable alternative for area families.

Another Boyd Senter Tune…this ones from the early Twenties, I know Jelly Roll Morton recorded this on Gennett as a Piano Solo in 1924..it has remained a pretty little classic ever since.
