After 60 years in the business, the unique and popular Evergreen Park diner – which serves bugers, hot dogs and fries to patrons on a model train – closed its doors April 29, 2007. Both longtime customers as well as newcomers made one final visit Friday. It has since reopened, so the tradition continues for the longtime neighborhood eatery.
